Prelude is the only actively breeding approved Trakehner son of Mozart, the famous FEI Dutch Dressage Champion, in the world today. His dam’s sire is Condus, the Grand Prix dressage stallion rated the #1 sire of money winning dressage horses within the Trakehner breed in the early 1980’s. Besides dressage, Prelude has competed successfully in hunters and jumpers. His most exciting win to date was tying for first place at the 2007 ATA Jumper Stakes easily jumping 5’3”. His foals inherit his charming disposition, aristocratic presence, athletic ability, and beautiful movement. Prelude adds size to most mares and produces foals that are easily handled by amateur owners and are winning at USEF and USDF shows. His 2006 son, Scorpio, is the 3 time recipient of the ATA Horse of the Year Hunter Breeding Colts award and was 3 time Best Young Horse at the North Hills Hunt “A” rated show. Prelude’s 2008 filly, Keyanna, was reserve champion filly in the USDF Breeders Championship Filly Qualifier class scoring 75.3%. One of Prelude’s 2009 colts scored very well at his voluntary inspection and was asked to return as a stallion candidate in 2012.
